Sonic Threads examines how we collectively shape reality, influencing our connections to the world. Our brains respond to each stimulus, forming perceptions and prompting us to question what is real and how beliefs develop. While we do not have answers, we believe art can inspire healing for creators and audiences.

Our multidisciplinary team investigates discipline, repetition, and healing through their practices, engaging with my research as reflected in my fabric designs and artwork.

Caro Selva co-develops the sound concept and storytelling, and composes an original song. Millie Wissar creates a sound piece that tells a story through sound, aligning with the choreography and integrating with the installation. Her process combines sound design, experimental music, ambience creation, and layering of sonic elements into a unified composition, guiding the audience through evolving soundscapes. She also mixes sound and music throughout the work.

Erick Molinares and Camila Silva contribute their dance expertise, co-creating choreography that embodies the healing power of movement and encourages full presence. Carolyn McLaughlin uses her experience as a seamstress to guide costume construction.

Juliana Silva direct the project and lead the conceptual research, building on her ongoing work. Her installation artwork integrates these elements, including fabric and costume design.
